We are building back our backyard nursery Root Shrubs after moving home to northeast Missouri in 2023. Currently we are selling dormant bare root liner trees, shrubs, and perennials during the later winter / early spring, and first season forsythia and mint clones in late summer, all by mail. In south Oklahoma City we kept bees and also had retail yard sales especially for thornless blackberries and native shrubs and trees, as well as daylilies, hosta, hydrangea, viburnum, focusing on tough plants that stagger bloom times to support pollinators.

Eastern Redbud – Willow Oak – Arborvitae – Bald Cypress
Ninebark – Spicebush – Buttonbush – Persimmon – Hazelnut
Willow – Rose – Forsythia – Hydrangea – Viburnum – Spirea
Hosta – Daylily – Iris – Mints – Allium – Lily
Bee Balm – Phlox – Penstemon – Echinacea – Heuchera
The first nursery setup in 2021. It quickly took over the yard.

Here in Missouri we have been emphasizing penstemon beardtongue, hosta, iris, and flower seeds and bulbs during our transition. Here are some pictures of flowers from seeds!
